Noah J. Bergam
I am a PhD student in the Columbia University Computer Science Department, advised by Daniel Hsu and Andrew Blumberg. Here is my CV.
Research
I’m interested in machine learning as it relates to structure discovery (e.g. clustering, dimension reduction, neural network feature learning). On the theoretical side, I’d like to develop a principled understanding of when such kinds of structure discovery is possible. On the practical side, I want to help scientists (particularly cell biologists) make informed conclusions about their data.
